For Census 2021, we’ll be hiring at least 30,000 field staff across England and Wales. As it gets closer, we’ll be advertising the opportunities online.

What the field team do

It takes a big team to ensure the census runs smoothly. Our field team is vital to our success.

As part of our field team, you would be the face of the census – visiting people who’ve not yet responded, offering help and encouraging people to take part. It’s an essential part of making sure we get the responses we need to make the census the best it can be.
